Meet the 2023 University of Northern Colorado 尊敬的校友 Award Winners:

布兰登·巴恩霍尔特81届

Solomon Little Owl ’00

Jason Veasey ' 02

Mekialaya White ' 08  

Mekialaya White ' 08 gives voice to her community through her work as a journalist in multimedia as a reporter, writer, producer 和 anchor.  

White majored in communication studies, graduating in 2008. She started her career 在去堪萨斯当记者之前，他在科罗拉多斯普林斯为KOAA-TV工作 multimedia journalist at KSNW-TV. From there she headed to WCPO-TV in Ohio 和 Kentucky before returning to Colorado Springs as a reporter 和 anchor for KRDO. 近 five years she has worked at KCNC CBS 新s Colorado, working her way up 从记者，到作家/制片人，周末主播，最后，她现在的位置 as weekday news anchor. 2022年，怀特被丹佛城市光谱 报纸选为该市的 "African Americans Who Make a Difference."
