The Weld Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will return to UNC on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pantry will be located in the southeast corner of the C lot, across from Campus Commons. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bags or boxes to the event, but a supply of bags will be available. The Bear Pantry will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the event so staff can support the mobile pantry. Parking permits will not be required in the C lot during the Mobile Food Pantry event, for volunteers or those utilizing the Pantry.

The mobile pantry supports UNC community members (students and employees) by bringing free, healthy, fresh foods (e.g., fruits, vegetables, meat) to those in need of food assistance.

The Bear Pantry needs volunteers on both Oct. 10 and Nov. 14 to support the mobile pantry. There are shifts from 11 a.m. to noon and noon to 1 p.m.

Plastic, paper and cloth bags are also needed. For those that have extra to spare, they can be dropped off to any Student Affairs welcome desks on the second floor of the University Center.

The Bear Pantry also continues to recruit volunteers to staff its regular weekly hours.
